During Episode 50 of our weekly Hump Day Hangouts webinar, a viewer had several questions about productivity and organization as it pertains to running an agency – a question that just as well could be directed towards a freelancer with several clients.
When getting to the point of handling multiple clients you have to use a system that allows for time management, organization, and team management – by the time you have several clients you should definitely be utilizing processes and tools like Trello to assign and monitor tasks that can be outsourced.
The specific questions asked were:
Do you have a day to day set workflow that we can use?
How do you organize your day to day activities?
What kind of tools do you use to manage your team and organize your activities?
Check out the video to hear how Bradley and the others arrange their activities and get the most out of their time using tested methods and tools that save time, increase productivity, and let them work efficiently with their team.
Bradley: Two weeks away from the 1-year anniversary and, knock on wood, we haven't missed a single episode yet. And we're planning on not missing anymore between now and the 1-year anniversary as long as I'm still breathing. Even if I don't make it, one of these other guys will. We got Hernan and Marco with us today. Adam is out doing whatever Adam does whenever he doesn't want to work with us. So, and now Chris just joined so I'll go right down the line. What's up Chris?
Chris: Hello everybody.
Bradley: Mark excuse me, Hernan, what's up man?
Hernan: Hey everyone it's good to be here.
Bradley: And last but not least, Marco.
Marco: Hey everybody, what's up?
Bradley: So the only announcements we have today is we were just talking about this guys, what was the first one? Link building right?
Hernan: Link building. Yeah.
Bradley: Okay. Our link building service is pretty much live again. It will be available for the general public again within the next week or so I would say. Possibly even by Friday of this week. So it's new and improved. We've been re-developing that for the last two months or so. We've had it shut down because of some bottle neck issues that we were having with FCS networker. so we've developed a new method that is working quite well and that's going to be available.
So you guys will have access to that again if you need link building services to your IFTTT networks to PBN's to citations to boost up citations. If you do local SEO. There's a lot of things that you can use our link building service for. Very very effective. All right number two is a video powerhouse. We've been working on that now for what? 4 months? I think about 4 months now.
On Episode 49 of our weekly Hump Day Hangout SEO Q&A webinar we had a viewer with a question about how to correctly use anchor text when linking within a tiered structure. Specifically, they were interested in finding out how to vary anchor text ratios and whether or not to use branded terms, broad terms, and navigational terms such as “click here”.
The specific question asked was:
What is best practice for anchor text when back linking from Tier 3 and Tier 2 properties? Should you use broad, exact or branded? Geo modified or no? What is best practice for backlinking from Tier 1?
Also, what anchors should you use when blasting your web 2.0 properties?
Check out the video above for a quick rundown of best practices when backlinking in a tiered network structure.
Adam: Hey everybody, welcome to this week's Hump Day Hangout. This is episode 49 and today is the 7th of October, so we're rolling into October. We're getting close to episode 52, but more on that later. How's it going Chris?
Chris: Hey, how you doing?
Adam: Good, good. Hernan, how's it going?
Hernan: Hi everyone it's good to be here.
Adam: Sorry guys. You just made my day, I don't know that's almost as good as [Wayne's 00:00:32]. All right, hey Marco, how's it going?
Marco: I don't know yet.
Adam: Last but not least Bradley how you doing?
Bradley: What's up guys?
Adam: Man, we've got a few announcements to go over, hopefully Hernan has got his voice cleared up so he can do some more talking.
Hernan: Yeah, I am, sorry.
Adam: Just some real quick announcements then we'll get into the fun stuff. Our link building services that we were talking about last week we mentioned we were trying to get that back online we're going to be opening up very shortly. If you're on the waiting list we'll be getting to you and you'll be opening up and probably just taking I think about a hundred orders. It depends, we've got to take a look at it here shortly, but we'll be sending out some more information on that.
Let's see, we have the RYS contest. Before we get to that I just want to say when we get to episode 52 we decided we're also going to do some contest with that. Part of that is going to be for only live attendees. If you're watching later in the week or something, episode 52 is going to be one you definitely want to be there. We did do the drawings for the RYS contest. If I full this up it looks like we had Steven at zeroshoes.com is the winner of the RYS. He's getting free access to RYS academy, he's getting … Well done. [crosstalk 00:01:58]. Good job. What's that?
Syndicating via YouTube is a very powerful addition to a website for any reason: local business, bloggers, affiliates, and more. As with any platform, changes made to the feed outputs can wreak havoc on syndication strategies. However, there is a good solution for this, and additional information was given specific to FeedBlitz.
The specific question was:
I am having some trouble with the new YouTube channel RSS url working in Feedblitz. They are saying that the RSS feed created using
https://www.youtube.com/feeds/videos.xml?channel_id=CHANNELID is not valid?
Adam: All right, hello everybody. Welcome to Hump Day Hangout. This is episode forty-eight. This is [inaudible 00:07] September, so we got the last Hump Day Hangout for September. Let's have everybody say hi. How's it going Chris?
Chris: Hello Adam. How you doing?
Adam: Good, good. Marco, how's it going?
Marco: Hey, what's up everybody.
Adam: Hey Bradley, what's up?
Bradley: Hey guys, how are you?
Adam: All right, well listen, Hernan today, I think he's out on some super secret squirrel mission. I think he's out and about. He's looking to get some stuff taken care of because we're going to be doing some stuff down South. I'm not going to say exactly where right now, but later on we might be meeting up I think in Costa Rica it sounds like, so we're gearing up for that. That's going to be down the road though. What's coming up sooner, we do have our one year anniversary coming up. I know Bradley's talked about it a couple times, but we're on episode forty-eight. Once we hit episode fifty-two, that's a year straight of the Hump Day Hangouts.
The viewer wanted to generate a very fast result that could be shown to the client as an immediate result showing that quick video rankings were possible.
This is a great question, in that if you are able to generate these types of results you can have a much easier discussion with clients where you are able to present actual results and bring that to a second meeting – a big “win” for you.
The exact question asked was:
I’m going to pitch a plumbing company in my local area tomorrow. I want to offer them something that will bring some instant gratification because they’ve already told me that they’ve been burned by another SEO agency in the past.
My question is, how can I rank videos fast if I don’t have an authoritative YouTube channel?
Basically, I want to use video ranking services on google to get my foot in the door. Plumbing is a pretty competitive niche, so I feel I need to offer them something tangible upfront before I ask for $1k+ per month for SEO.
Check out the video to see how we would go about getting quick video rankings in order to help secure a client – whether it is plumbing, a different home improvement or repair niche, or any other area where we wanted to see quick results with a video.
Adam: Good afternoon everybody. This is Hump Day Hangouts with Semantic Mastery. This is episode 47. Today is the 23rd of December. Before we get launching into everything, we wanted to, as always, go over announcements, do some housekeeping stuff, but we wanted to make sure you heard about the last chance here before we go public with our RYS Academy. If you didn't get the email or you didn't open it or whatever happened, we're giving people who are viewing as well as our email subscribers 10% off, and this is going to last until we go public the first thing on Tuesday. After that, it's gone, guaranteed. If you want to, I'm going to pop the link up top to go check it out, and the code, which I will also put on the event page, is RYS viewer and then the number 10, and that's all one thing. We're going to pop those on the page. If you're interesting, highly recommend you go check it out now, and, Marco, if you want to fill them in a little bit more.
Marco: We're just showing fantastic results all across the board with keywords that are difficult, not just the low hanging fruit like we teach always go after the lower hanging fruit, but keywords that have a lot of competition, so if this is what you're after, this is the way to do it.
Adam: Yeah, and 1 quick thing, too, on the coupon code if you use it, make sure you type it in. Don't try to copy and paste. There's been some people having some issues with that. If you haven't visited the sales page in a little bit, we added some updated live rankings on there, so why don't you go please check that out after Hump Day Hangouts. Stay here, watch a video, then go over there.
Bradley: Cool, so everybody else can say hi now?
Adam: Yeah, if you want to. Oh yeah, there's other people here.
Hernan: Oh, thanks, Adam. Hey, everyone. It's good to be here.
Bradley: What's up Chris?
Chris: Hello, everybody.
Bradley: As Adam said, RYS Academy, we're publicly launching it next Tuesday. It had really been just an internal thing with our subscriber list, so this is the last opportunity for you guys to get it for any less than what the retail pricing is going to be. I highly recommend you go check it out. Like Adam said, we've been updating the sales page with some testimonials from people, some of our subscribers that have purchased, as well as some examples of live-ranking stuff that you can go check right now for yourself to see, quite impressive, in my opinion, so go check it out. Other than that, we have 1 other thing we wanted to announce which was here's a link. Adam, can you drop the link for the contest?
