Should You Assign A “DoFollow” To The Attribution Link In The Syndicated Content?

By April

YouTube video

In episode 346 of our weekly Hump Day Hangouts, one participant asked if you should assign a “dofollow” to the attribution link in the syndicated content.

The exact question was:

Hi Guys, I use syndication network to syndicate my content. I am using Yoast SEO plugin which adds the attribution link to each syndicate post but I noticed that those attribution links are ‘nofollow'. I think making the links ‘nofollow' will defeat the purpose of ‘Pushing Power Through Tier 1 Entities'. Please suggest if I should make the attribution link ‘dofollow'? Also if I make it ‘dofollow', can that also harm my website as the content can be syndicated anywhere. Please advice. Thank you.

The exact question was:

Jeesuz I think I might be outdoing Bibi at this point (smile) Just wondering for syndicating content, would you syndicate content from your money site to your tier 1 2.0 (such as blogger and wordpress) or do you use unique content to syndicate amongst all those properties just so they are topically relevant to your niche.

Is There A Tool That Syndicates Content With Automatic Article Generation Or Spinning?

By April

YouTube video

In episode 304 of Semantic Mastery's weekly Hump Day Hangouts, one viewer asked if there is a tool that syndicates content with automatic article generation or spinning.

The exact question was:

I would like to know if there is a plugin or software that create automatic syndication with automatic article generation or spinning? Much like ifttt when it syndicates to web2.0s but the content it syndicates is spun from the original article or created with something like article forge. It links back with the full URL of the article. So no anchor text optimization. The only one i knew was social link machine from Andy Black couple years ago… Something like SNAP but with spintax or article forge.

Why Does The RSS Of Other Authority Channels Needs To Be Changed Frequently When Submitting The Super Feed?

By April

YouTube video

In Hump Day Hangouts episode 293, one participant asked why does the RSS of other authority channels need to be changed frequently when submitting the super feed.

The exact question was:

Hi guys: 1) Why do you want for the rss of the other authority channels to be changed frequently when submitting the super feed? 2) Because there is minimum of text length of 300 words in each page/post submitted, I wonder if words inside a block quote tag which is basically words from other site will be considered/counted in the article's text length? This is what contentkinkpin relys on? (To simply the question: let's say an article has 250 words and if adding a quote with 50 words will it count for 300 words in the article)?
