In episode 345 of our weekly Hump Day Hangouts, one participant asked why the team's drive stack URL are shortened through the MGYB shortener.
The exact question was:
You always say the MGYB URL shortener is powerful. Ok, word taken, but can you explain why your drive stack URL's are shortened through the MGYB shortner? Does this provide extra/more juice? Does this buffer / protect the money site more – like an additional step? Why not just link directly to Tier 1 & Tier 2 properties NOT using short URLs. I get why not to link directly to the money site, I just don't get why it would really even matter to use a shortner inside the drive stack files? Any further technical explanation is appreciated. I feel like I'm missing something…Thanks! -E
