Should Different Website Properties Have Different NAP?

By April

In the 283rd episode of Semantic Mastery's weekly Hump Day Hangouts, one participant asked if different website properties should have a different NAP.

The exact question was:

Should different website properties have different NAP? (Name, address, phone number?) Working with an umbrella corporation that has multiple ecomm website brands. I want to have SEO Power Shields for each individual ecomm property, but worried about any penalties or issues that may occur with shared or overlapping NAP? Is uniqueness important in structured data for each site? Also curious which URL shortner you suggest these days since Google has stopped their shortner service. Bitly, Owly, the new Google Firebase Dynamic Links (FDL)? Or the MGYB URL shortner? What would be best practice? Thank you! -Ed

Does Having The City Name In Facebook Different From GMB Listing Cause NAP Inconsistencies?

By April

In episode 192 of our weekly Hump Day Hangouts, one viewer asked whether having the city name displayed on Facebook different to that on the GMB listing will cause NAP inconsistencies.

The exact question was:

Hi guys, thanks you for all the content you put on the channel for free. It's a great reference.

I got 2 short questions:
1. I have a verified GMB listing and when setting up the Facebook profile, the city name displays differently (FB only allows to pick from a display menu).
Will this cause any NAP inconsistency with my GMB profile (which I prefer not to touch)? Or should I hide the address in FB? By the way, I am displaying the address in GMB and want to keep it that way
