Should You Use Follow Or No Follow When Linking A Subcategory Page To A Same-Level Subcategory Page?

By April

In episode 208 of our weekly Hump Day Hangouts, one participant asked if one should use follow or no follow when linking a subcategory page in a silo to another same-level subcategory page.

The exact question was:

Hi guys! That camel's face is truly SPOOKY!

When wanting to link from a sub category page in a silo to another same-level sub category page should we use a do follow or no-follow link? This is a complex silo structure with only one top level page and 10 sub category pages (each having siloed posts). Basically wanting to direct traffic from sub category page #5 to Sub category page #6. Thanks.

Is There A Loss Of Domain Authority With NoFollow Links?

By April

In episode 142 of Semantic Mastery's weekly Hump Day Hangouts, one participant asked if there would be domain authority problems with ““nofollow”” links.

The exact question was:

I find your concept and your course of contentkingpin very interesting.
But I have a question!

It is clear that with “”NoFollow”” Links, there is no problem with the Linkjuice.
But, as i know, it is also a fact that Domainauthority is also influenced by NoFollowLinks.
So is there a loss of DA with co-citation?
