Should You Perform Off-Page SEO Deliverables While The Website Is Being Redesigned Or Should You Wait Until It’s Finished?

By April

In episode 272 of our weekly Hump Day Hangouts, one viewer asked if one should perform off-page SEO deliverables while the website is being redesigned or should you wait until it's finished.

The exact question was:

Hey guys, I have a car dealership client that I just started with. They have a pretty bad website, one of those “”industry template”” things. They're pretty close to buying a new one, but when they do it will take 3 months to get it ready. Would that erase the benefits of what will have been done by then? Should I wait for the new website? Like an SEO shield, links, and the Battleplan procedure? I've already started the GMB work, so I have something to do, but ideally I'd get the DFY stuff up soon.

Will A Website’s Existing Schema Help Keep Rankings While Changes Are Made To Its Content And Images?

By April

In episode 270 of our weekly Hump Day Hangouts, one viewer asked if a website's existing schema can help keep rankings while changes are made to its content and images.

The exact question was:

hi guys i have a client who is ranked on page 1 for a few keywords but his bounce rate is high so now he wants to change the layout and content up on these pages as he says rankings dont matter if everyone just bounces. will trying to optimize the site for conversions by changing the images and unstructured data confuse google and hurt our rankings? or will the schema we have on site be enough to keep our rankings relatively stable? thanks!
